Wisdom LLP is the result of three high tech veterans deciding that it was time to disrupt the venture capital industry by breaking the established methods of investment decision-making. We believe that strict pattern matching severely limits the vast opportunities available across wide ranges of technology. Pattern matching treats yesterday as a prelude to tomorrow, which is short sited and limiting. Charging Limited Partners management fees and a carry on returns also deters individuals who might otherwise participate in the venture world. Not to mention that while the average VC fund returns do beat the stock market indices, the difference is minimal or negative when fees and carry are deducted.
We prefer to make sure all partners share in the success of our collective investments. Rather than paying the fund’s General Partners for their abilities to select and manage early stage investments, we’d rather pay our Limited Partners for their contributions and wisdom by waiving all fees and fund profit carry, bringing real world value to support the early stage companies in preparing for scale and growth.
